Virtual Program Eligibility

All students in grades Kindergarten through twelfth-grade meeting application deadlines shall be eligible to submit an application for the Virtual Program, except for students removed due to failure to meet terms of academic contracts at any point during a previous school year, as stated in the Virtual Program Parent and Student Handbook.

Any students previously enrolled in the Virtual Learning Program and then selected for the next Virtual Learning Program year will be subject to a final academic review based on year-end grades, retention status, and compliance with required testing requirements.  Students not meeting one or more of the following criteria will have their seat in the Virtual Program revoked.

  • Rising Kindergarten students who were enrolled in the Virtual Program at the end of the 2021-2022 school year must not be students who have been retained in Kindergarten.
  • Rising First-grade students who were enrolled in the Virtual Program at the end of the 2021-2022 school year must have been recommended by this year’s Kindergarten teacher for promotion to first grade for the 2022-2023 school year.
  • Rising students in grades two through six who were enrolled in the Virtual Program at the end of the 2021-2022 school year must have successfully passed both English Language Arts and Math for the 2021-2022 school year.
  • Rising students in grades seven through nine who were enrolled in the Virtual Program at the end of the 2021-2022 school year must have successfully passed a minimum of three of the four core content areas (English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies) for the 2021-2022 school year.
  • Rising students in grades 10 through 12 who were enrolled in the Virtual Program at the end of the 2021-2022 school year must not have failed more than one virtual program synchronous learning course in a core content area (English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies) or world language at the end of the 2021-2022 school year.
  • All students enrolled in the Virtual Program at the end of the 2021-2022 school year must have participated in required state and/or district assessments during the 2021-2022 school year.
Commitment to Full Academic Year of Virtual Learning

Parents of students enrolling in the Virtual Program are required to commit to their choice for a full academic year.  This is critical in order to limit staff moves throughout the school year which causes disruptions for our students.
