High School End-of-Course Testing

The Georgia Milestones Assessment System’s End-of-Course Tests will be given at the end of these courses:

  • Ninth Grade Literature and Composition
  • American Literature and Composition
  • Physical Science
  • Biology
  • United States History
  • Economics
  • Coordinate Algebra/Algebra I
  • Analytic Geometry/ Geometry

Students enrolled in these high school courses regardless of their grade level will be required to take the Georgia Milestones End-of-Course Tests. The Georgia Milestone’s End-of-Course Tests will count as 20 percent of the course grade. Students enrolled in the following Dual Enrollment courses at a post-secondary institution are allowed an exemption from the course’s Georgia Milestones End-of-Course test:  American Literature & Composition, Physical Science, United States History, and/or Economics.
