Pre-K Program Registration

I've reviewed the Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines, I have the required documents, and I'm ready to register my child for Pre-Kindergarten

Pre-kindergarten Registration Flyer

Please Note:

  • Only a child’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) may register him/her for Prekindergarten. Your child does not have to be present for registration.
  • A child enrolling in Pre-kindergarten must be at least four-years- old on or before September 1, 2019. Children who are five-years-old on or before Sept. 1, 2019, who have not attended a GA Pre-K for more than 30 days, are also eligible for Pre-K unless you prefer your child to go to Kindergarten. Kindergarten Registration will begin in May 2019.

Pre-K Registration  for 2019-2020: Pre-K Registration Opens Online on Monday, February 11 and ends on March 15, at 11:59 p.m. All Pre-Kindergarten registrations will occur online via any Internet-enabled computer, cellular phone, or digital device. Register online beginning February 11.  We will not accept any registrations prior to February 11. We encourage you to review our Online Registration Guide web page as you begin.

If you do not have access to an Internet-enabled device, contact your zoned elementary school to make an appointment to register via their kiosks. Required documents can be uploaded online as a digital file or
photograph or hard copies can be brought to your zoned elementary school during regular business hours.

Eliminating paper registration for Pre-K through 12th grades, allows the school system to contribute to a greener community, reduce
our environmental impact, and improve customer service by providing 24-7 online, access to the registration process.

Don’t Wait – Register February 11 - March 15
Register during the designated time of February 11 through March 15. The number of children eligible for Pre-Kindergarten fluctuates each year. Sites that do not have enough students could risk closure, and the school system does consider out-of-zone registrations for parents who are willing to provide their own transportation. For these reasons, it is best not to miss the designated registration period. Please do not wait to register and assume a site will have enough space for your child.
Multiple Pre-Kindergarten Sites
There are multiple Pre-Kindergarten sites within some school zones, so remember you may have other options if one site fills up. Also, if you are willing to provide transportation for your child, you may consider one of our sites that is not in your school zone. Questions are embedded within our online registration process that ask about your interest in your child attending one of our Pre-K sites that is outside of your school zone.  Please note: If a child attends an out-of-zone site for Pre-Kindergarten, your child will return to your zoned elementary school for Kindergarten unless approved for a House Bill 251 School Choice/School Transfer Request
