School Meals: Visit info. tables at Open House; Account Balance Notices

Calls for Low or Outstanding Balance on Lunch Account

This year Bulloch County Schools' Food Services Department will use the school system's electronic messaging system, One Call Now, to remind parents and guardians of any unpaid balances on student meal accounts. Parents/guardians will receive a telephone call each Friday for any student whose account has a negative (-$10) balance.

 

Parents/Guardians who need assistance with school meals are encouraged to complete a Free and Reduced Meal Application.  This form is available to complete online in our Back-to-School Toolkit  or via this link https://www.myschoolapps.com. Our schools also have a paper copy.  Parents/Guardians must complete this form annually for any new or returning students. 

 

The first notification call will go out on Monday, July 30, for any returning students whose school lunch account was left with an outstanding balance from last school year of (-$10) or more.   

 

Our School Food Services personnel will have information tables at each schools' Open House event. Stop by to visit them if you need additional information, need help with online registration or want to clear up any outstanding balances. Open House is Monday, July 30, from 4-6 p.m. for elementary schools and 5 - 7 p.m. for middle and high schools.

 

All children receive free breakfast.  School lunch prices for this year are $2.25 for elementary and $2.50 for middle and high.  Reduced- price meals are .40 cents. Parents are encouraged to visit their child's school at meal time with a prior reservation. Meal costs for any visitors are $2.25 for breakfast and $4 for lunch.
