School supply lists for elementary & middle schools

Back to School AdvertisementIt's almost back-to-school time, and that means gathering school supplies. Our elementary and middle school supply lists are attached or visit our Back-to-School Toolkit at www.bullochschools.org/backtoschool for all the information you need to start the new school year.

 

Open House is Monday, July 30, from 4 - 6 p.m. for elementary schools and 5 - 7 p.m. for middle and high schools.  The fist day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 1. If you have a child who will be new to our school system, we encourage you to register him/her for school prior to the first day of school.

 

For our families who need assistance with school supplies, these are upcoming events, which are providing supplies for families in need: 

  • July 21, 10- 12 noon, Back-to-School Giveaway event at Luetta Moore Park, in Statesboro.  Sponsored by the African-American Business Owner's Community Foundation, the Statesboro Police Foundation, the Statesboro Police Department,the Statesboro Fire Department, and other local businesses and individuals.
  • Throughout School Year - Prevent Child Abuse Bulloch County and the United Way of Southeast Georgia host an annual school supply drive prior to the start of school.  All supplies collected are distributed to each of our school counselors to provide to children whom they have identified for assistance.  These supplies help provide for children in need throughout the school year.  If you'd like to donate to this drive, drop-off locations include the following: BB&T, Bulloch First Bank, Citizens Bank, Colony Bank, CORE Credit Union, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Queensborough National Bank, Renasant Bank, Sea Island Bank, Statesboro Regional Library, and the Heritage Bank. All basic school supplies welcome and back packs.
  • Throughout School Year - Our school social workers collaborate with various local organizations to provide school supplies, clothing and other basic needs to our students who experience housing displacement.  If you are in need please contact our school social workers at 912.212.8500 or let your school counselor know.
