Foundation Ready to Help Teachers This Fall with Innovation Grants

Bulloch County Foundation for Public Education logoThe first day of school is August 1, and the Bulloch County Foundation for Public Education is ready to help fund Fall 2017 Innovation Grants for teachers.  The window for teachers, media specialists and counselors to submit applications is July 27 - Sept. 8, at 4:00 p.m. An application packet is available on the Foundation's website, and an application was emailed to faculty.

 

The Foundation will award up to 20 grants to faculty, 10 in the fall and 10 in the spring in values up to $1,000. These grants help fund learning opportunities for students. 

 

Since its creation in 2006, the Bulloch County Foundation for Public Education has funded nearly 200 innovative projects for teachers with grants totaling more than $190,000.  The Foundation provides a way for individuals, businesses,industry and civic organizations to invest in local public education.

 

The Foundation also funds the district's REACH Georgia Scholarship Program and the Bulloch County Teacher of the Year program.  The Statesboro Turkey Trot 5K and the school district's Pay for Jeans Fridays are the Foundation's major fundraising events.  This year's Turkey Trot 5K is Saturday, November 18, in downtown Statesboro.
