Posted 5/27/13

REACH Scholars 2013Bulloch County Schools hosted a signing ceremony May 23, at the Bulloch County Board of Education to announce the district’s first REACH scholars.  Five seventh-grade females from three of the school system’s four middle schools were selected from 58 applicants. “We are very proud of our first REACH recipients,” said Superintendent of Schools Charles Wilson.  “We change the future one day and one student at a time, and these students are helping us set a standard for a bright new future in Bulloch County.”

This year’s recipients were Amaya Brown and Kailana Low of Langston Chapel Middle, Aisley Scarboro and Amonica Kirkland of Portal Middle High, and De’Neshia Jones of Southeast Bulloch Middle. The students and their parents signed agreements with REACH Georgia, and the scholarship funds will be held by the Georgia Student Finance Corporation until the students graduate from high school.
