BOE Hosts Annual Forum for Parents & Community


The Bulloch County Board of Education will host its annual education forum, Speak Up for Education, for school councils, parents and the community on Thursday, January 26, 2017, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Statesboro High School. Anyone interested in K-12 public education is invited and encouraged to attend. 


Free childcare is available for the event for children ages birth - 12. Call 912.212.8553 to register your child. 



  • 6:00—6:15       Registration (Enter the cafeteria entrance on the side of building by football stadium. Look for signs)
  • 6:15—6:35       Welcome & Overview by Superintendent Charles Wilson (SHS Auditorium)
  • 6:35—6:45       Transition to School Breakout Sessions (Light refreshments provided )
  • 6:45—8:00       School Breakout Sessions with Principal and faculty leadership to share about upcoming AdvancED Accreditation process and gain your input for school improvement planning. (Choose a school session to attend)
  • 8:00                  Adjourn

Childcare Available for Event

Parents and community members, who plan on attending these events, can request free, on-site childcare. The school system’s family liaisons coordinate this service for children ages birth to 12 years old. Please call 912-212-8553 or email mmotes@bullochschools.org by Jan. 25, 2017 to register your child.


The school system’s family liaisons provide safe supervision, homework assistance, activities and snacks for children.  For infants please provide all supplies they may need (i.e. bottles, diapers). For kindergarten through 12-year-old children, there are supervised centers for homework, movies, games, and sports.  Our family liaisons assist parents with securely signing in their children. 


Translation Services Available for Event
